Connecting to terraMOO is easy. You need a JAVA ENABLED browser (preferrably Internet Explorer) and a live connection to the Internet. Since terraMOO is graphical, a fast connection will be less frustrating than a slow one but a standard modem is sufficiently fast for you to connect and use the virtual environment adequately. The terraMOO interface is a live-web and java portal to a database. It uses a Java Virtual Machine to construct the environment interface. It has been successfully tested with Microsoft's JVM and also the JVM from Sun Microsystems. Some browsers struggle to provide JVM support (eg. Opera, Netscape) and some platforms have poor JVM support (eg. Apple) |
